Or is it a flag? Or are they the same thing? Wait a minute, in some other language iris means magazine - hmm, think it must be in Gàidhlig. Read this morning that the origin of the name 'Britain' may be from the Phoenicians calling it BraTanac. Tanac still means 'tin' in the Lebanon, apparently.
