Treehouse Tales

My job this evening was to fix the treehouse which suffered badly at Hendstock last year. It’s also been damaged as the tree has grown over the last 12 years.

The ladder was the biggest job, I needed to completely rebuild it. Every tread was loose so they all came off, and were re glued and screwed. I also changed the way it fixes to the treehouse so it will not get ripped off again!

The rest of it was mainly trimming and re fixing bits that have moved as the tree expanded. Took ages. Should be ok for this year but the roof is starting to rot so I think it may need to be removed soon.
