marbled white

It’s been a slow start for butterfly photos this year. It is either this area or the poor spring weather, but I just haven’t seen many butterflies around.

I went out to Dane Way Bank reserve in the late afternoon, supposed to be a hot spot but sadly I only saw one or two butterflies.

I did enjoy the walk around the area but was frustrated at the very few photo opportunities. I did manage to capture this marbled white, one of only two that were flitting around. It was a tricky capture, nowhere near as sharp as I would have liked but I am happy to post my first butterfly picture of the year.
