The path out the woods
More activities for the Minky and her little pal. We’d booked tickets for “Play with Plants” - though it turned out to be not much more than an area with lego and a dressing up box. But the tinies seemed to enjoy it - especially the raised veggie beds with pretend plants so we just let them get on with it.
And then there was a meander round the gardens. We’re pretty lucky that so much government funding finds its way into Edinburgh’s attractions. Must fair chow the rest of the population off. Much later I took her over to the pontoon to see the Dutch/Belgian fleet that has arrived. A dozen or so very lovely boats - they’ve termed themselves “OceanPeople rally Round Britain Adventure Cruise 2024’ - a three month cruise. What was pleasing was how at home the minky was - the pontoon gently rising and falling didn’t give her any heebie-jeebies, unlike the reaction from some relatives - her (step)-aunt comes to mind. Talking of said relative, she’s been having a tough time of it and we’re departing tomorrow leaving her in sole occupancy. I hope it goes OK for her and she begins to find a path out those woods.
Later, Diggery Dogs and the last of the group games at the Euros. Georgia cuff Portugal! I’ve been wondering who to support now. They’ll do.
Time to pack!
