LORD LAMBOURNS AND 70TH BIRTHDAY PRACTICE

........ are almost ready for harvesting I think!!!

I had a lovely night last night.  Lovely meal with great company.  On arrival at The Pheasant the air con was on low but it made the place just pleasantly cool.  

One of the ladies had made me two birthday cakes (to share between 9 people) both sponges one with a lemon drizzle topping and one with a dark chocolate and wild strawberry (from her garden) topping.  They were delicious.  A bit embarrassing when everyone sings HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU with a candle in the one of the cakes, but a nice surprise all the same. By now the air con had been turned off and it was boiling.

This morning I had the delights of the Dental Hygienist to visit at 9.00 am!!!!  Well it was a good visit.  She was pleased with my progress and said there had been a vast improvement in the gums, mostly due to using interdental brushes after the general cleaning.  Great news.

It's so much cooler today, windy but cooler.  Wondering what to blip then I saw the apples from the window and although blowing around a lot I managed to get a shot of them, looking pretty healthy.
