Large Red Damselfly

It's been a very blowy day, but so far we've not had any rain, although it is forecast. 
We had a local walk this morning and where I saw this large red damselfly. It was tricky trying to capture it in the wind, but it turned out OK in the end. 

At lunchtime, I had another session at the Butterfly House with 4 childminders and bunch of pre-schoolers. They were so cute and excited to see the butterflies. They then had their picnic lunch in the community garden with some time to have a little play. It was lovely. It's been such a busy week in the glasshouse and we have more pupae arriving tomorrow, so even more beauties to come. 

Sorry about the lack of commenting recently. I have been trying to catch up, but not managing it particularly well. I'll get there eventually :)
