Bee and Liatris
You can't tell from this photo just how windy it's been today. A few determined bees were nipping about in the garden, such as this buff-tailed bumble bee clinging to a Liatris flower spike.
I was at a coffee morning today where the topic of the election inevitably came up (though thankfully, briefly). It turns out that out of 9 people, only 4 had received any election leaflets through their door and none had 'met' any of the candidates on their doorsteps. The discussion then moved on to football and tennis, becoming much livelier.
I get it that much of the population is not very interested in the election, though it's surprising that the candidates don't seem bothered either.
