The zoomies

This is how the ducks chase flying insects and it's funny to see them suddenly race across the garden.

It's the circle of life, duck poo attracts flies, which the ducks then eat.  However, they are very big, messy and noisy - especially in the mornings - and we've decided to motivate them to learn to fly sooner rather than later by reducing the food.

This resulted in very loud quacking from about 5am and the mother duck flying up to our bedroom window to let us know her feelings about this at 8am.  I fear it is going to get worse before it gets better....
