Train fettling

Planned return train from Glasgow cancelled. 
Grrr
Next train via Stirling wouldn’t make Dunblane connection.
Feck.

Hmmm
Worked out Glasgow to Aberdeen fast train would take priority over a stopping service trundling from Edinburgh to Dunblane, as it uses same northbound platform at Stirling.
Hmmmmmm!!

Ended up on super comfy intercity 125 (shamelessly occupying  a first class seat as I’d been mucked about!), non stop to Stirling, where I exited, joined fuming folk on platform waiting for delayed local train, which arrived two mins later, and I was then home in 20 mins.

Quietly pleased, but by gum you need to know your choochoos and the network to avoid the buggeration factors sometimes!!
