Pre-op

Went to our local hospital, St Helens (see photo), for my pre-op re cataract surgery and all went well. Terry dropped me off and picked me up. I could have driven there but I was not sure if they might have needed to put dilating drops in my eyes so opted for a lift.
Did a bit of weeding and potted up a plant into a larger container. The temperature has been dropping gradually all day and there was a stiff, cold breeze which made it feel much cooler than it was.
I'm glad it's not so sticky any more!
Got a phone call early afternoon, which I missed as I was having a nap but I listened to the voicemail shortly after the call. It was NHS Referrals and I rang the number I was asked to ring. to be told they don't know what it was for as the system has not caught up yet. The lady apologised and said this was happening frequently now. I just hope this doesn't mean I miss an appointment or get my surgery delayed due to the problem.
Finished the book I was reading and started another, this one is by Jo Thomas and called Sunset Over the Cherry Orchard. I've read a few of her books and like them.
