Planter on tree lined street.
The Eastern end of South Street; it’s close to the historic cathedral, has only a few shops, with many properties still occupied by the University of St Andrews.
Several publications and tourist guides describe South Street as a wide tree-lined boulevard with generous pavements and an almost continental feel; on a warm day like today it can feel so!
Individual planters, such as this one, are owned by businesses. There are bigger community/business planters and floral displays around the town - they are a real asset.
The Scottish Gas technician came promptly for his return appointment. He spent a while undertaking remedial works, he was a tidy and conscientious worker - the installation was working well when he left. Unfortunately we noticed a wee water leak late in the evening (when central heating is on …. late June!). It’ll need attention, probably a job for next week.
