Sunrise and sunset
A most wonderful start and finish to the day. I organised myself to do a coast path walk first thing and popped into town to collect a few things for a picnic.
Just as I was about to set off Lorraine called in a panic, she had headed out to a somewhat hilly area to practice some cycling skills but ended up overthinking the whole process. I drove over and explained that she simply needed to get used to riding the bike before getting too technical.
To cut a long story short I collected my bike and we headed to the pan flat Tarka trail, however it wasn’t to be, the self confidence had gone and homewards for Lorraine was the best scenario.
I returned to Amadeus and had a light lunch before enjoying a nice spin around the area on my bike and popping into the opticians for an appointment.
A very pleasant and successful afternoon.
A quick supper before heading to South Devon where I was asked to help with the organisation of a Time trial (Bike race)
It was a lovely summer’s evening and a very enjoyable time meeting up with some great friends and fighting fit individuals.
The 10 mile individual time trial was won in a time just a few seconds over 19 minutes.
Faith and the enthusiasm for life restored by meeting such a positive group of people.
The drive back was equally inspiring with the sunset casting wonderful scenes across the edge of Dartmoor.
