The Māori New Year is celebrated in NZ with a holiday but most shops are still open. There are fab lighting displays and live entertainment around the harbour. This display was on the side of Te Papa our National Museum.
A lot of folk out there so we took some pics and fled. In keeping with the day there will not be a fireworks display and public opinion is also against it these days.
