Construction Site
The Underbelly work proceeds apace in George Square Gardens . Half of the Gardens earmarked for the Fringe has been screened off to prevent access from the part nearest Middle Walk. The space was filled with the coming and going of lorries with materials while the central tent structure on a wooden platform was being constructed by a squad of workers. The rest of the street is uncharacteristically quiet now that the students are on holiday so I could tarry and snoop at will as I made my way towards Tesco and shopping.
It’s another very windy day. Although Edinburgh is known as being a windy city while Glasgow is known as a rainy one, we seem to have had more high winds this year than previously. We also have had several heavy showers of rain today, but what do I care? It’s Friday again and the TGIF drinks are looming large in my mind.
