Martagon Lily

We walked along the Malverns from Malvern Link station to Colwall station, nine of us plus 2 dogs.  After 7 or so miles of sharp ups and downs, me and Bramble peeled off as she had had enough (she is over 12 and has severe arthritis).

As I cut my own route back, I walked up a lane and saw this stunning flower. It turns out to be a Martagon Lily.

The extra is at the top of a hill (Worcestershire Beacon) where we stopped for lunch. Jude (BrambleBlossom) is on the right.  A lovely walk with lovely people. We're going out for a pub meal later!
