Yellowhammer

I found the yellowhammer this afternoon up on the butterfly reserve.  After a rather unsuccessful butterfly hunt I thought I'd just have a quick nosy round the pond, and there it was, sitting on a post.  I don't know who was more surprised, me or it - the yellowhammer probably, because for half a second it froze, so I managed to snatch this shot before it flew off.

Working backwards, the rest of my day has been lunch, laundry and going into town for - I kid you not - the strangest shopping list I ever managed to construct.  It read:
flowers, 
flour, 
cauliflower
Hahahahaha!!!
