Barcoded
Mrs BB drove me to Hereford Hospital (UK) where I arrived at 7.45am for my ear operation under general anaestetic. I was duly asked to put on a thin gown back to front, and unsexy long socks, and waited until they were ready to knock me out which happened late morning. The extra is of my barcode which I don't know what it means but it was good to see they identified me as 'male' and not one of many other catagories that now exist!!
After a CT scan the consultant wanted, about 3pm I was discharged into the care of my neighbour Shane who kindly collected me as Mrs BB was working. I must say the NHS in Hereford have been wonderful. A far cry from my experiences in Wales.
I've been relaxing on my sofa and watching the birds on my feeders. I like the one of the Goldfinch looking at me with, what I am sure, is a young goldfinch (R). When anaesthetist asked me to imagine a place I'd like to be I said my garden - a sure sign I'm getting old!
