Miss Wilson's rose.

Miss Wilson's rose grows beside my kitchen door. I think she lived with her parents in the house which was built in the 1930's by Falkland Town Council with financial input from the owner of the linen factory in the town. The street is a mixture of semis and four in a block flats They were occupied by factory employees often foremen and a step above regular workmen. Eventually the houses and flats became council property then when Mrs Thatcher's right to buy came in many occupants bought their house, Gradually they were sold on which was how I acquired mine but Miss Wilson's rose as remained at the kitchen door through all the changes.
