The longest day

Not the summer solstice but Y11 leavers and prom is the longest day of the year by far. It’s not felt like a Friday today with the thought of a long evening ahead. As always, it was lovely to see them in their finery. Some gorgeous dresses and smart suits and steady rate of departure once they had eaten and had a dance. Quite a bit of my night was spent outside keeping a watchful eye. I think these might be classed as noctilucent clouds taken at 11:05, fifty five minutes before the last student was collected.
