Hogweed

Out first thing by x27 bus for a meeting at Heriot Watt with a new company building technology for wild animal and bird surveys. Lots to do there .. Walked out to Edinburgh Park station by obscure paths, fairly well signposted until the last half mile or so, to get to the tram. Lovely sunshine and a stiff West wind, very pleasant walking weather. View in extra. 

Do any of the Scots here know who is responsible for clearing giant hogweed ? There are several acres of it growing in untended land close to the Edinburgh bypass; the stuff is a biohazard and needs to be cut down before it seeds (again). Main blip, location at map pin. This is the worst infestation of it I've seen in a long time.
