A visitor
Not the most strenuous start to my first day off.
Whilst letting Nova out into the back garden I spotted someone looking back at me from the bottom of the garden, a beautiful Roe Deer! He wasn't too startled and as I watched & attempted to take a few pics with my phone (not very sharp am afraid) he remained at ease for a good five minutes doing his thing before disappearing towards the valley behind.
Roe Deer have been spotted around here for over a decade and whilst not seeing one for a while, I did record spotting some tracks recently confirming they were indeed still around.
Am not sure whether they are spreading out more due to a loss of habitat or just managing to increase in numbers. On the positive side for them where they appear to be doing well here, what was once traversed with paths is now completely overgrown apart from one such path that leads to a subway beneath the M67 motorway, and even that isn't very well trodden so at least they have somewhere to live in peace.
In the afternoon your Gal had an appointment to resolve a problem that occured back on May 14th. My nose is throbbing mildly and riding home with my helmet open didn't help much but am happy and the new thing is less likely to fall out. May post a selfie in a future blip ;-)
