A fallen branch

I'm having a rest day today.

This afternoon, I popped to Margret's because she needed a bit of computer help. On my way home, I saw that a large branch had fallen from one of the ash trees. It had broken a couple of stems from this delphinium.

Dick planted the delphinium in the spring, and it has really spectacular flowers. I gathered them up and made this little display. I tried with focus stacking but Photoshop was not playing ball, so this is a single image of the "flower stem". 

I then made a texture in Photoshop using the colours from the flowers and the stem.

I'm glad it is not so windy today but it is rather grey and cool.
