Between fen and mountains

They’re from Barcelona

The all female choir from Barcelona were invited back for another concert. As usual, we rang before the concert to entertain those who come early to listen to the bells. I was a little worried as our tower captain is in the UK and it was me who had to lead the ringing with an audience present. Actually, the ringing was to a reasonable standard despite his absence. We did not try anything difficult but kept it to rounds and call changes. In the morning, I played a little tennis with a new member. He has not played for several weeks due to a calf injury. We played most of a set, but then he felt a niggle so we stopped as a precaution. In the afternoon, the new chaplain drove over for a briefing so that he knows where everything is and what the expectations are when he starts at the end of July.
