Signs

It was great not to have to go into the office today. I always enjoy my Thursday mornings for that reason. I was thrilled when my new discman arrived. I unboxed it and hooked it up during lunch, which I am pleased I organised. Chicken Haka noodles from the Golden Dragon went down really well. :))

G wanted to go shopping for end-of-year gifts in the evening, so we headed to Festival City. Booktopia was the store of choice. They have some cool quotes hung on their walls. The sign used in my thumbnail is the first one that caught my eye. I can happily say that we have a bookcase in each of our main rooms! ;)

We had a quick dinner at IKEA and then made our way to Terminal 1 to get a hire car. The Peugeot is booked in for repair jobs that need four days. It was so disappointing that a business that we have used since July last year let us down today. The customer service was so bad, that we changed all our plans and decided to drop the car in tomorrow morning rather than tonight. It is so hot here, even in the evenings.

We came home via Wafi. G needed lollipops. Carrefour was heaving, even at 10 PM. It felt like a busload of tourists had been dropped off and were shopping for groceries! The man at the checkout informed me that they had a special promotion on chocolates and beauty products, so it was busier than usual. I'm glad I learnt that!
