Good timing

There was a busy day today. Visitors arrived in the middle of the afternoon and the cherries on the tree are already overripe (unfortunately many of them have already been picked). Because we know that time passes far too quickly when picking cherries, we gave ourselves an hour in the morning from 7-8am. Then we sorted and pitted the cherries and by 10am we already had 7 jars of jam. 

Temperature was  still bearable then, but the rest of the day was hot and humid. Fortunately, we didn't have any heavy thunderstorms. The cantons of Geneva and Vaud have banned all large public outdoor events at short notice today due to the approaching thunderstorms.

Instead of thunder, there were honking noises this evening. Switzerland beat Italy 2:0 to reach the quarter-finals of the Euro 2024.
