Saxophones in Santiago

Special evening listening to the Focus Sax Quartet from the University of Évora, in the restored Santiago church in Monsaraz. Never even realised there were four different sorts of saxophones: soprano, alto, tenor and baritone. Fascinating, and they were very accomplished and fun, even some dancing and singing in some of the pieces. But, think I still prefer a sax on its own.

Eileen was there, we wanted to ask her opinion on a planned development on the Lake; we ended up going for a drink at Rui's, and then for a meal in Gato Preto, in Telheiro - great food, but very slow service.

Gratefuls:
- chatting to different folk on the way to the market, and all the delicious fruit that's in season; apricots for lunch
- our architect coming for a good chat (with his young nephew), lots to consider
- an unexpected evening with Eileen

(If interested, will post a couple of bits on WhatsApp status.)
