Good morning Swallow
A nice morning before heading over to try and see my mom. I had her favorite doughnut with me. When I got there the sign on the door said no visitors due to Covid protocol. Being masked I was able to get the attention of one of the nurses through the window, I showed her the bag, she pointed down, I left it on the ground, and as I was leaving she brought it in for my mom. Hopefully things will be back to normal next week.
I had brought my good camera with me just in case, so I headed down to the lake to see what I could see... Many small birds, ducks and 4 heron. I was a bit out of practice photographing birds in flight as I had a few good opportunities but they all turned out blurry.. Was it the camera or was it me? There are probably 1000 settings on the camera but only about 30 are important for what your photographing. Sure enough I had tracking turned off, set at all points for focus (camera focuses on what is close not the center of the camera) and the stabilizer on (that slows the focus down). Once those were fixed I tried to photograph the swallows. I know the main shot has MANY issues but I do like how the wings are spread out. The first extra is a grumpy heron. The swallows were all around it and... I also found one of the swallows nest - at 12,800 ISO - this camera really amazes me.
Came home and did the rest of the chores one must do before a work week. Wish I had my energy back but the headache and cough are gone..Back to work in the morning.
