Mission Accomplished

Today was the one free morning I had before my son and family arrive tomorrow. I could think of nowhere I wanted to go more than to the beach with the plover and tern chicks. I chose two photos to post before reviewing them all, since my "to do" list is quite lengthy. This tiny, fluffy tern chick was fed a fish by a parent, and worked and worked until it was swallowed whole. To give you a sense of their size, I have included a photo of a baby resting near the nest with the parent. If you look closely you can see black and white fluff underneath, which is its adorable sibling.
