Purple coneflowers …

On our afternoon walk today we came upon this lovely group of purple coneflowers in a neighbor’s garden.

It remained cool today, but unfortunately it was very gray and drizzly.  Nonetheless, we had a good walk between the rain drops.  

Tomorrow is likely to be similar, but we won’t complain - it is good to have a break from the intense heat we had last week.
