View From the Burleigh Bridge….

A nor-west sky greeted us early this morning. This view is looking upstream from the bridge at the “braided river”. This sort of river is very common in the eastern side of the South Island in particular. Of course the braiding is very evident with water flowing freely at the moment.
My nephew, Andrew, his wife Suzanne, their dog “Daisy” and my Maisie and I walked to the Burleigh Bridge and back early this morning. A distance of 5.5kms. It was fun, lots of chatter and the two dogs had a great time racing around the open spaces. The three “guests” departed for their home in Nelson via the Nelson Lakes later in the day. I hope they will return again before too long.
