Went up to the viewpoint…..
to see if the survey site could be seen from a different angle. It couldn’t , because the trees have grown so much, but instead found the Red Kite nest was up here and they were very cross that I had disturbed them. They shouted at me the whole descent, which I made rapidly to stop disturbing them. Eventually, reaching the right track I was surprised to find Twinflower clumps all along the route. Later, walked down to the river to see the Melancholy Thistles and found this beautiful Bee Chafer on them. Quite a while since I’ve seen one.
