Iron Man

This afternoon has been spent doing the ironing and practising on the bass. Not at the same time obviously. I also watched Shania Twain in the “Legends” slot at Glastonbury. I wasn’t impressed. She was clearly having problems with her in-ear monitors, but that doesn’t fully explain the tuning issues in her vocal performance.
I went for a run this morning and thought I could probably do it without strapping up my dodgy knee. I was wrong. I really dropped the pace but, even so, the last kilometre was quite painful. Just a dull ache now, but I won’t be doing anything strenuous on it for a few days. And when I do, it will be well strapped. Lesson learnt.
This evenings entertainment is the same as last night - watching the Austrian GP and Tour de France highlights. I’ve so far managed to avoid finding out how either ended and will be staying away from all social media for the next few hours to ensure it remains that way until the programmes have finished.
