Luka Bloom

Went to see Luka in The Mermaid Theatre last night. Great guitar player and great voice too. I hadn't followed much of his career but decided to see him when he came to Bray. He has been a profilic song writer and has sung with many well known Irish artists and group including Sinead O'Connor, The Pogues and his brother Christy Moore.  His best known song is about emigration called The City of Chicago. It was given wings Luka said when his Brother Christy recorded it. Here he is with a version of it.
