Great-aunt Lisa and Baby Violet

Baby Violet is 19 days old today and came to dinner at Grandpa Steve's and Grandma Lori's house. While the rest of us had hamburgers, baby Voilet is breast-feeding. She joins sister Sage in the 4 person family. Dad Scott and mom Markie certainly produce beautiful babies.

As an added bonus to the delicious supper, I think I had a breakthrough with her sister Sage. I've been trying for a year now to get Sage to talk to me, and today as we left...I got a wave and a bye-bye (from a megaphone.) WOO-HOO!

I think we tend to forget how tiny babies are. I just love the wee fingers and toes, and marvel at the miracle of life every time I see it.
