Hardwick Hall

Hardwick Hall was built between 1590 and 1597 in Derbyshire, for Elizabeth Talbot, Countess of Shrewsbury, better known as Bess of Hardwick.

She had been born in the nearby Old Hardwick Hall, which is now a ruin.
