Ben Lifson RIP

Ben Lifson, photographer, writer and teacher has died. I heard the news on Reid Reviews website, where I have originally discovered Ben. (his website is here). Ben's teaching was what have fascinated me the most. He looked at photography not in isolation but as a part of wider art and cultural history and environment. Best examples are his TEDxEastHampton speech ( here) and series of articles titled Making Better Pictures ( here).
Ben had also online one to one teaching course, which I wanted to apply to. However due to my deliberations if my work is good enough to be accepted I never got up the courage to try.
