Meg's Cosy Tea Time

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

Caro and I watched the Brat Pack documentary "Brats" at the weekend. It was not very good. If you want to skip it, I can summarise it for you - Andrew McCarthy whining for 90 minutes.

Rob Lowe was the counterpoint to Andrew. He seemed to think being in the Brat Pack was a HOOT and enjoyed every moment. This caused me and Caro to watch the film "Masquerade" - an 80's thriller starring Rob and Meg Tilly.

And this led me down a Meg Tilly rabbit-hole.

At this point you may be wondering who Meg Tilly is. She was quite famous in the 80's and was nominated for an Oscar for "Agnes of God" but apparently stepped away from being a Hollywood star in the 90's.

Now she's an eccentric little person in her 60's, living in Canada and writing novels. She also has her own YouTube channel called Meg's Cosy Tea Time wherein she drinks tea and talks to her 80's fans.

On the channel she admitted she'd never seen her own film "Psycho II" and so she did a stream watching the film for the very first time with her tea time pals, talking about her experiences.

So I spent an afternoon watching the film with Meg. She didn't offer much in the way of insight because she either never knew or has forgotten much about it. All the same, she was fun. She does not care for scary films and spent most of the film clutching her doggie and saying, "Don't worry tea-timers!! It's a fake knife!! Oooohhhh noooooo!!!"

She wasn't as much fun as Kat - obviously - but it was sort of fun to watch the film with her today.
