Reunited

Finally reunited. After 2 weeks I eventually failed to maintain patience. Giving up on the airline I tracked down the contact email and telephone number of the CEO of the international baggage handling company. I called the CEO's office in Brussels and sent an email to the CEO copying in every national Managing Director including the MD for the Italian operation. My telephone rang within 3 minutes... Within 10 minutes ( I kid you not) the bag was miraculously found...within 25 minutes it was in the possession of the airline duty manager... And 5 minutes later it was allocated to the next scheduled flight to London. Not only that, but the call to Brussels resulted in a special courier being dispatched to drop the bag at my front door within an hour of its arrival on UK soil.

I don't even want to think what this operation cost the handling company and the airline... But on the 15th day after my arrival on UK soil, my bag has arrived....
