Thirteen

I don’t regard myself as the superstitious sort. But if I am being honest, I’ll walk under a ladder uncomfortably, and I’ll notice if a black cat walks in front of me. But for very personal reasons I regard the number 13 as lucky, not unlucky. Cross fingers on that one :-)

I looked for a way of illustrating this superstition for today’s mono Monday challenge, and so opened a book of Wendy Cope’s poetry at page 13 to take a photograph. And found that there is no numbered page 13 (or 14 for that matter). I don’t think this is deliberate. But it’s one way of illustrating this particular superstition.
