A Pool of Poppies

with five blue cornflowers, standing at the corner of Leicester Road and Ashby Road in Shepshed. I hadn't been sure I could get here but Basil, Cecily and I did the trip. It's not a terribly big display but I'm so glad they're there.

To be honest, I'd had to go to the pharmacy to chivvy them along about my medication. In the interval we used to get to the end of Leicester Road and back, they'd got it ready.

It's been so cold today that I'm back in my winter clothes. We're not rushing to get the winter duvet out again since I bought a rather nice king sized blanket last year which is doing the job of keeping us warm at night, over the top of the summer duvet.
