Blessed Be His Name
Have you ever stood outside in the rain without an umbrella and turned your face upwards and just let the rain run down your face, tasted the first snowflake of a storm on the tip of your tongue, sat and watched the sunrise, or hiked a mountain and stood still in the quietness of the forest? Sometimes that is what it takes to reorient our minds and bodies to remind ourselves of who we are in God's creation. That we are here created specifically to Glorify Him. It does not matter what we look like, what kind of job we have, where we live, or what church we attend.....we are all created to worship the Living True God. To tell Him that we believe Him for who He says He is. To proclaim Him as the great and merciful God he declares Himself to Be. To take every blessing that He pours out to us, and turn it back to Praise.
As I was leading our Church Praise band's rehearsal this afternoon, I was looking around the sanctuary to see what I could blip for the July Heartfreek Challenge. ThisWood cross that hangs in the front of our sanctuary was the only thing left from a renovation that was done 33 years ago. I well remember because it was finished two weeks before I was married under this Cross.
This Sunday we are singing Matt Redman's Blessed Be Your Name. I hope you enjoy listening! Have a blessed rest of the week!
