A Boy and his Dog

The boy was 8 when Lila joined the family. Now he’s 23 and she’s 15. And a half.
He went back to London today and she’s not likely to be here next time he’s home.
Another goodbye.

We had some more blood test results today which were not good. Her liver and kidneys are failing. But she’s eating and drinking and seems relatively content. Her movement is getting worse and she’s on monthly pain killing injections for osteoarthritis.
We hope we’ll know when the time is right.
