I Witness

Not Mono Monday ...

... Nikon Z6iii first pics.

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my new camera was to be delivered today instead of tomorrow!  And it did ... just as we were starting our lunch!

I wanted my first pictures to be special and Cheddar just happened to be in the living room as I opened the box.  And even though he was in his little box house I took my first pictures of him.  I didn't take the time to set up the camera in any way so this was shot in Auto.

And then with new camera in hand we headed off to Jacobsburg State park.  We were hoping to see some hummingbirds or butterflies so that I could test the camera.  But only one hummingbird was seen ... and only by Richard.  We had a nice walk anyway and I was able to take lots of other pictures.

We got home in the late afternoon and I sat in the sunroom photographing the chipmunks and other things.  The lighting wasn't the best at this point but I'm very pleased with my photos.  I played around with other settings ... manual and aperture priority ... but I still need to set up the camera as it should be set up for wildlife photography.  There are some great You-tube videos out there that I will use to do this.
