Prayers for Sa Penya
I spent time on my essay this morning, Danny took the kids to play sports to try and give me some focused time, so that was helpful.
We had one of the team over for lunch, having a challenging time and needing an ear. Then into leading the community prayer walk. Once a month we open it up wider than our own community and this month we had a couple of Spanish women come join us which was encouraging. I liked this image of the cross and heart over Sa Penya, a place we love dearly.
On the walk home I bumped into a homeless friend who looked very down. It turned out his son is extremely ill in Holland, so the Catholic charity here have bought him a ticket to go be with him. He needed a big bag to pack into. Happily someone donated one last week!! He also needed food, so I cooked up some pasta and sauce.
Caña Club tonight and some of the 24-7 gang came too. I'm home early to (blip) work on my essay.
Today I'm grateful for;
1) The team taking Nate home so I could have unrushed time with the friend on the street.
2) Hearing from someone visiting the gent at the end of his life, that he was more joyful and lighter than she's ever seen him, despite the circumstances.
3) Danny taking the kids out to give me headspace.
