A wander round Saughton Park today to admire the planting schemes. They've come a long way from the rose garden and 'council' planting. It's really lovely.
We spent so much time here when the kids were wee and today Helen and I were remembering the time when 4 of the 6 buttons on my dress came off whilst we were there with 6 kids!!! Oh my, it was very embarrassing.
In the hothouse, there was this enormous, beautiful unfurling fern. That little touch of reddish brown in the centre. The texture. Just beautiful. Nice in b&w too (extra)
However, we did have a jumper, and an anorak on to keep is warm.
