Birthday Rose

Most of the day we have been thoroughly cleaning the motorhome as it has been our home for the past month!  There will then be a few internal 'improvements' so that it will be even more efficient for the next trip!
Later this afternoon, as the sun was shining, I went into the garden with a few of my 'alternative' lenses - Lensbaby Velvet 85, Lensbaby Sol 22 and Artizans 50mm - all manual focus and with their individual quirks! The Artizans goes as wide as 0.95 aperture giving amazing bokeh (blip) and the Sol has the Lensbaby distortion effect (extra) which I love.
The lenses are harder work and more unpredictable due to the all manual focus - but that's all part of the fun and challenge; it's all too easy to use a zoom lens with easy focus!

The rose is one that always flowers near my son's birthday - John brought a bloom in to the hospital for me after Edward was born, hence the 'birthday' rose; we'd not long moved house and this was about the only flower growing!  It's in front of a self-seeded oak tree which appeared soon after.
