My Raise

Along long time ago as a young boy if I found three cents, I would hop on my bike and head down to the five and dime for some bubblegum. The big boss called me up today to let me know there was an accounting error on my time at the company. i should be getting three cents a mile more than I had been. The back pay will finally pay off my car repair a few months ago and I can take my mom's car in finally for a checkup.

Being local we get paid a variety of ways depending on what we are doing. From moving empty containers to loaded ones, a drop / hook, refer pay and many others. That three cents a mile will average out to be a bit over $20 a week extra from now on. Local doesn't get a lot of miles but it does add up.
