I had a catch up first thing with VG to prepare for our meeting this afternoon then K & I nipped to the local shop to pick up some things for breakfast. N called to chat through tactics as he’s got an interview this afternoon for a job near home…very exciting! Nice that he wanted the advice and he seemed well prepared, so fingers crossed!
We stuck some washing on then spent some time online going through the itinerary for next year’s trip and following up some of the suggestions and options before going to try and get a picture frame for O….no luck.
In the afternoon I had the zoom meeting whilst K cleaned the car out of all the sand and rubbish, then called N when he’d texted to say the interview had gone well. He has another meeting tomorrow then he’ll know for sure but he was so excited and delighted…lovely. T popped in after he’d had a day in Birmingham and before going in to the club to help his deputy prepare for a presentation tomorrow. Chatted about holidays, house rental, probate and marriages of convenience to get round pension rules (!)
Round to next door at F’s for book group….full house there and a lot of chat - everything from being banned from a garden centre to grandchildren to therapy, and even managed to talk about various books we’ve read and suggest others to each other.
