Thyme and succulents

Growing on top of the garden wall the thyme makes a colourful carpet and spreads every year.  

More gardening, I'm now at long last beginning to see some improvement - in some areas!  But the bindweed is my true enemy at this time of year, it twists swiftly upon itself and spreads by making great ropes garlanding shrubs and plants and smothering them.
