Clock

A jigsaw clock of its era. It was mine as a child and it depicts the strictly gendered roles of the nuclear family. It also shows the seasons in the corners. Top right is summer. Not like that here I'm afraid. 

We have friends arriving from Cornwall for a few days. I can't imagine what they'll think of summer 2024 in Scotland. I'm seriously wondering whether I should turn the heating on. We'll have fun catching up with them but it won't be in the garden. 

Coffee with a couple of friends this morning was a lovely interlude. Now I need to do some dusting etc and get the place ready for our guests.
